There are times you are under so much pressure to get the injection done...something else happening on the side with one of your other kids. Scary, scary days. Calls to Dr. Sever to see how to handle...once or twice I injected Lantus (or thought I had) and it turned out I injected nothing (I hadn't filled the syringe). ahhhhh You are among company.Chandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05698571010094228486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5433409943912761093.post-83923948380007964332011-06-04T09:33:52.016-07:002011-06-04T09:33:52.016-07:00Such a familiar scenario...there will be many days...Such a familiar scenario...there will be many days you make a mistake, unfortunately. Days when you don't give enough and days when you give too much. Days when you give Lantus instead of Novolog in a syringe. Scary, scary days. I wish I could take them away from you and go through it myself because I've already been through the scared. So sorry that happened. Your poor husband -- please tell him for us that we have all done it. A trick Dr. Sever told us is, she never, ever injects until a second person looks at the syringe and confirms the dose. An independent party, if you will. It's been a great rule in our house. I taught Paige how to look at the needle syringe and count the lines. Granted, your sweetie is probably too young for that. But something to think about. Hope you can relax today!
